Demolishing your own family home is possible for a capable DIY person but it is fraught with difficulties. If you intend to demolish the house you may derive some enjoyment from knocking down a wall but there are a number steps in the demolishing process. • Asbestos removal - to be carried out by a suitably licenced person (See the Asbestos article here)
• Securing relevant permits
• Disconnecting utilities + identification of remaining utilities
• Development of site-specific safety and work plans
• Notification of adjoining properties
• Secure site fencing

Once the tasks above are satisfied, mechanical demolition may take place. This will take between 2 and 3 days. When the demolition is complete the site will be cleared of debris and ready for future development. Arties Demolition Brisbane does what it can to keep the environment safe, and ensure that most of the material removed from our sites is recycled. Materials to be recycled include: brick, concrete, metals and timber.
